A friend of Prince Harry is making a compensation claim against his polo team mate after he was involved in a car crash.
The polo player was involved in a car accident which has ruined his international polo career. The car accident happened in March 2004. Peter Woods was driving the car when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. The accident resulted in the claimant, Jay Jones shattering his thigh.
Jones now claims that Woods did not notice the bend in the road and is therefore legally liable for the injury compensation.
Jones was a keen polo player who played regularly with Prince Harry but his development in the sport has been affected by his injuries.
The polo player had to have a metal rod inserted into his thigh and missed a lot of training and practise of the sport. This means that an international polo career is now very unlikely for the player and this is why he is making a compensation claim against his fellow polo player.
If his car accident compensation claim is successful, Jones could be awarded around £300,000 in compensation.
